The aluminum alloy hubs and spacer are treated with a clear alocrom finish for resistance to corrosion, and the coupling's membranes are heat-treated spring quality stainless steel for strength, durability, and corrosion resistance. The fasteners are made of black-oiled alloy steel for strength and corrosion resistance. This flexible membrane coupling can operate in temperatures ranging from -40 to 212 degrees F (-40 to 100 degrees C) and is commonly used in applications that require high rotational speeds and the ability to minimize excess movement due to misalignment. The coupling is suitable for use with rolling mills, turbine-driven gearboxes, and compressors, among others.
